JDSU Cable Length Meter CLM400 TrueLength Description:

JDSU CLM400 TrueLength cable length meter troubleshoots new or existing lines by measuring distance to shorts or opens, and shorts between lines and traces wires by generating up to four trace tones. JDSU CLM400 works on virtually any single or two conductor cables and quickly finds and repairs existing cable problems or verify new installations.

JDSU CLM400 TrueLength includes 12 pre-set and 12 user-programmable wire gauge settings and offers four selectable tones when in tone generation mode. It measures resistance at 0 to 635 Ohms and opens/capacitance 45 pf to 0.082 uf.
JDSU Cable Length Meter CLM400 TrueLength Applications:
 
Troubleshoot new or existing lines by measuring distance to shorts or opens, and shorts between lines
 
Trace wires by generating up to four trace tones
 
Manage cable inventory by measuring length on spools
 
Determine if wire length on spools is adequate
JDSU Cable Length Meter CLM400 TrueLength Characteristics:
 
Measures distance to opens or shorts
 
Operation modes: AWG/mm/mm2, Telco, Network, Coax, Tone Generator, and Ohms
 
Measures conductor length in feet or meters
 
Provides audible indicator for shorted wires
 
Large LCD for easier reading in sunlight
 
Measures copper or aluminum wires 8 to 30 AWG (3.264 to 0.255 mm, 8.366 to 0.051 mm2)
 
Opens/capacitance measurement 5,000 feet at 15 pF/ft
 
9 V battery operation
