AEMC 6681 Cable Locator and Wire Tracer

AEMC 6681 Cable Locator and Circuit Tracer detects buried (in walls or in ground) electric power cables, telecommunication cables, metal pipes, and other cables on systems at voltages of 300V or less with respect to ground. The AEMC 6681 wire tracer locates circuit breakers, fuses, shorts, open circuits, and tracks cables. The AEMC 6681 circuit tracer works on non-energized and energized wires making it extremely versatile. Its transmitter applies a modulated AC to the circuit that is picked up by the receiver. The transmitter is also an AC/DC voltmeter that displays the measured voltage with a voltage-warning indicator. Its transmitter also includes a self-test function that indicates if the quality of transmission between the transmitter and the receiver. The transmitter and the receiver both have built-in flashlights for use in dark environments. The AEMC 6681’s receiver has an extremely sensitive sensor that generates a display proportional to the electrical field detected.  The signal is then decoded, processed, and shaped by the receiver so the user is able to determine the location of underground pipes and cables as well as detecting any faults in them. The receiver also features an audible buzzer that changes pitch to indicate the detected signal strength.
