Greenlee 402K CATV Cable Tone and Trace Set is a standard for test kit for identifying CATV cables.  All major cable companies are using it for this purpose.  The Greenlee 402K tone and probe produces signal strong enough to go through splitters, traps or directional couplers.  Tagging of coax cable drops is easy with 402K now. The 402K yields audible and visual signals to help identify distribution cables and individual wire pairs.  There are 4 different tones, and as a result technicians can trace up to 4 different cables at the same time. The tone generator can also test continuity and detect the AC presence in the cable.  Both signal transmitter and trace probe come in a protective carrying case.
